FIRST PERSON VIEW IN MAX
CAMERAS
Composition is key in any presentation, and cameras (perspectives) are the key to good visual composition. Cameras are an aspect of animation that I've always enjoyed, because they can so easily transform the way space and motion are felt. It's an interesting challenge to try to find a single path through space that will effectively highlight everything that needs to be seen. When the timing of an animation is very dynamic, then the challenge becomes even more interesting. You have to consider the right balance of dramatic angles, effective lighting, and how to blend it together in a way that doesn't feel awkward. I feel I was successful in taking these things into consideration.

It was a nice surprise to render out the First Person cameras and see that the animations really did convey a sense of being in the game. I think these scenes do a good job of selling Unit's potential as real future project. It looks interesting, it looks possible, and it makes me want to get my hands on it. It looks fun.
